North

Taken 90 feet above the centre of Mauchline these four views are taken from the top of the Parish Church tower. In this photo we are looking North towards Kilmarnock.Directly in front is New Road which leads to Kilmarnock Road and the Burns Monument

South

This photo was taken looking south towards Cumnock. The street running south is the Cowgate With Poosie Nansies at the bottom left corner. The shop at the right hand corner is a sports shop owned by R & R Sports who also own the next building down Loudoun Street that used to be the Bank of Scotland. The buildings immediately behind the sports shop used to belong to Findly of Mauchline who at one time were a successful joiners and building firm. The site is presently being sought for housing development.

East

Looking east up the High Street to the Loan and Sorn Road. In the centre of the Photo is the Cross which is dominated by the large building which consists of the library, local offices and residential flats. This site was previousily occupied by the Post Office and sorting office which was in everybodies eyes an eye sore and was a great relief to occupants of Mauchline when it was demolished

West

Looking west down towards Ayr there is not much to see as the trees are obstructing the view. To the left under the trees is Loudoun Street which is the main road out of Mauchline to Ayr
