King George V silver jubilee in 1935

department. They used to meet at the cross
at 6.00am and walk as a group to the creamery

This very old photo is of the Kilmarnock Road.
The location is near the water works at the top
of the hill

Barskimming House

Ballochmyle House which stands on the grounds
of Ballochmyle hospital (now closed). The house is
now in a poor state of repair but plans to renivate it and
build houses on the grounds are in progress

This mug was given to the pupils at Mauchline
school in 1935 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee
of George V

Poosie Nansies. Note the lean too shed which
in it's day has been a tobacconist, fruiters but
is now part of the bar in the pub itself
