The Plastic factory as it is locally known is situated on the south side of Mauchline. Before being owned by M Wiseman to make spectacles the building was originally a creamery producing both Blue Band and Seafoam margarine. Famous for its beautiful gardens the building has been empty since the 1980's

Taken further down Loudoun Street again than the last two photos this shows the Post Office on the right of the picture

This lovely old photo shows a great view up the Sorn Road towards the Hill Top.

Mauchline Station is sadly no more. It was opened in 1848
and at that time stood on the main Glasgow to Carlisle line.
It was closed down on 6th december 1965
