My name is John Gibson. Born 17th Dec 1960, in Irvine Central, I've lived in Mauchline all my days. I'm in two of the school photographs on this web site.

I've always had an ear for music, and while still at Mauchline Primary School,
I played euphonium with the Auchinleck Academy Brass Band, led by Hugh Johnson who was also in charge of the Dalmellington Brass Band. I got my first guitar about the age of nine, and learned from books and playing along with my favourite songs. Down through the years I've played with quite a few of the local club bands, a couple that I started up myself. Playing the local pubs & clubs including Mauchline Kilmarnock Supporters Club.

I can't remember when I wrote my first song, but I now have almost a hundred. I recorded and produced all of my songs in my own home recording studio, and now I'm putting them onto video & the web, thanks to Geoff.
I'm a member of the Guild of International Songwriters & Composers, and I copyright all my material before I make it public.

My ambition is to hear one of my songs being performed by one of the top acts. Someone like Robbie Williams preferably. Hopefully the right person will get to hear one of my songs and with a bit of luck…
